I was fast asleep. Out of nowhere, a piercing burst of an alarm went off in the night. I jolted awake and tried to identify the sound. But before I could figure out what was making the noise, it just as suddenly stopped.
The clock said 3:38. I got up and checked the house. My roommate was asleep. The smoke alarm was off. It definitely wasn't a car alarm or an alarm clock. What could have made that sound? My heart was still pounding from the surprise. I couldn't go back to sleep for about an hour.
And I still don't know if it really even happened.

I had a dream about snakes the other night! Both of these dreams SUCK!
