Phone-flirting

I got a text message early this morning.
It said "Call me, Baby."

I don't know who it was from.
I didn't call.

are you sure there was punctuation between 'call me' and 'baby'? If not, it could be more of a statement of declaring a name rather than phone flirting... like 'nobody puts Baby in a corner'- so call me Baby instead of Jack or something like that. :) I'd text them back just for fun though. :)

sounds like another case of mistaken identity...

My better half got a text message the other night from an "unknown" number that asked "Are you working tonight?". Which if you didn't know that my wife spends many nights on call in the hospital then it might come across somewhat scandalous/shady. She tells me about it. We assume it is a wrong number, store it in the back of our minds, and go on about our merry lives. I get to church the next Sunday and this friend of ours who has a 6 or 7 month old baby asks, "Did your wife get my text the other night?" To which I respond "THAT WAS YOU!!! We had no idea who that was." Apparently their child had a severe allergic reaction and they wanted to see if my wife was in the hospital. She had assumed that my bride had her number stored (which she now does) and felt bad. End of the day, no harm no, no foul. Oh and it gave me a chance to post a mini-blog in your comments section.
