The best of friends

"A friend loves at all times," Proverbs 17:17a

Sometimes you just need a friend. The best moments are when that friend is right there, just willing to spend time with you for no reason other than refreshing your soul. Thank you, Friend.

"Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart,
and the pleasantness of one's friend springs from his earnest counsel." Proverbs 27:9

Not that I'm a philosopher, but as I should be working and I'm not, I'm reminded of something I read in college..."Things cannot be other than they are, for since everything is made for a purpose, it follows that everything is made for the best purpose..." (from Voltaire's Candide).

It's an odd quote, but one reasons, even when things are such, if they were any other way would we know how to deal with them? Never mind the fact that it's possible we don't know how to deal with what's going on at present...it's just something I think about from time to time. Things are this way, and because of that, things are good.

Anyway, you didn't ask, since you're mostly ok, it's good that they're not other than they are :)

17.17b is my favorite... "& a brother is born for adversity"
ha, all that friendly love stuff and then sibling rivalry as if there was some connection...
