Freedom!

I am so excited. Today is my last day or work for the rest of the year! I won't be back in the office until Jan. 2nd! My boss is the greatest and told us we could have two weeks off because we put in so much extra time covering the hurricanes. So I am counting down to 5:30pm when I can head out of here. I will do my utmost to keep the blog-vent coming next week...but be patient. My home computer is much slower and more persnickety so there may be glitches.

Oh, and the water, phones and electricity are all fully functioning today. It's a festivus miracle!

Do you get hazard pay? I mean, during the hurricane, you had to eat cats and break into gas stations just to survive. And now no power or water?
I wish I could have commented on these topics on the day you originally posted them. Unfortunately, this week I have been spending all my time at work on eBay instead of checking people's blogs.

That may possibly the funniest comment ever posted on my blog.

Laurie - I just caught up on your nightmare... For a second there, I wasn't sure if you were on location in some natural disaster area! What a crazy experience! You should definitely enjoy your time off and all the related luxuries - running water and such... :)

The eBay part is true. So is the "unfortunately" part.

It's like a blend of both the Halloween and Christmas Charlie Brown specials...
