So instead I opted to buy natural wood chairs and paint them myself. My plan is to paint them in various bold, bright colors to draw out the color scheme in my house. I'm not afraid of using color and really want the overall effect to POP. The picture below is the general concept, although the colors I'm considering are deeper and richer.
But here's what I can't decide. I have six chairs and I want to paint them different colors. Would it look better to paint them six completely different colors? Or would it make more sense to paint them two and two and two? Or, as in the picture above, four and two? Help!

paint in pairs. but if you have 2 of the same chair, don't paint those two the same color. mix style and color.
I am such a fan of different colors and if I owned the table in our house it would have colored chairs for sure. Here is one that I think is fun, all but the chairs at the ends of the table are different.

Erin,
The chairs are a matching set. There are two end chairs with arms and four without arms, but they all are the same style.
Kindall,
I can't get that link to work!
I like the 4 and 2 combo! hope you post the finished pics when you are done.
Four and two would be good...and it might be fun to put a small design in the other color...maybe just a sprinking of polka dots or a few stripes or maybe one of the bars depending on the style of your chairs. If they have little balls on top, those are great to paint in another color. Have fun!
try this, the picture is almost to the bottom of the page.
